AAG's New Home

Welcome to the new resource for Lewis & Clark's Academic Awards & Grants Program! Here you will find information on the various fellowship and scholarship opportunities available to undergraduate and graduate students.

As we are currently transitioning from the previous LC webpage, you will need to navigate between both pages in order to find some information. However, once transitioning is complete, http://academicawardsgrants.blogspot.com will serve as the resource for detailed information about these fellowships and scholarships.

Leave a posting or comment for us to let us know how are doing and what we can do to improve this resource for you. Additionally, follow us on Facebook and on Twitter.

Best,
Tamara Ko

Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan

The Bridging Scholarships support overseas study in Japan for American undergraduate students. Offered by the Association of Teachers of Japanese, 100 scholarships are awarded each year. Successful applicants will receive $2,500 for semester-long study abroad or $4,000 for a full year. Students need not have prior Japanese language experience.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled in a US undergraduate institution prior to and during the study abroad. Bridging scholarships may not apply for overseas study during the summer. Students majoring in all areas of study are welcome.
  • Deadline: Applications are accepted twice per year. The deadline for overseas study for the Fall 2009 semester is April 6, 2009.
