The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation provides scholarships to low-income undergraduate seniors or recent graduates in order to pursue graduate degrees. Approximately 35 will be chosen(out of roughly 1,000 nominated each year) to receive an award of up to $50,000 per year for up to six years of study.
Students may not directly apply. Instead, faculty representatives may nominate up to two students each year. Nominees will be judged based on criteria such as academic achievement, critical thinking ability, financial need, and breadth of activities.
- Eligibility: Nominees must be either college seniors or recent graduates who demonstrate financial need that has not been met. Must have been accepted into a full-time graduate degree program at an accredited university to begin studies in fall of the year in which the enter the program. Nominees must have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
